How to Save TikTok Videos on iPhone

Use Safari to save a public TikTok to your iPhone, then move it from the Files app into Photos.

TikTok's built-in Save video button adds a moving watermark — and many creators turn the option off completely. On an iPhone you can save public TikToks with Safari instead, usually in a clean HD version. The only iPhone-specific step is moving the file from the Files app into Photos, which this guide explains.

What you need

Step 1: Copy the TikTok link

  1. Open the video in the TikTok app.
  2. Tap the Share arrow on the right.
  3. Tap Copy link.

Step 2: Fetch it in Safari

  1. Open Safari and go to the TikTok downloader.
  2. Tap the box, then tap Paste in the pop-up iOS shows (or use the blue Paste button and allow access).
  3. Tap Fetch and wait for the pop-up with the video details.

Step 3: Download

Tap Best / Original. Safari may ask "Do you want to download…?" — tap Download. A small blue arrow appears in Safari's address bar while the file saves.

Step 4: Move it to the Photos app

Safari saves downloads to the Files app, not to Photos. To put the video with the rest of your pictures:

  1. Tap the download arrow in Safari's address bar and tap the video, or open the Files app → Browse → Downloads.
  2. Open the video.
  3. Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow).
  4. Choose Save Video.

The TikTok is now in Photos, ready to share or edit. You can delete the copy in Files afterwards to save space.

Want only the sound?

After fetching, choose Audio only. The audio file saves to Files, where you can play it or import it into GarageBand or another app. Most TikTok sounds are licensed music, so keep them for personal use.

About the watermark

Zovan doesn't edit the video. It downloads the version TikTok uses for playback, which usually has no burned-in watermark. For a small number of videos TikTok only offers the watermarked file — you'll still get the video, just with the logo.

Common problems on iPhone

Tip: put Zovan on your home screen

In Safari tap Share → Add to Home Screen. Zovan then opens full-screen like an app. Details in How to install Zovan as an app.

Finally — if you repost a TikTok, tag the creator. Without the watermark, credit is the only way people know who made it.
