Zovan is a web app: it runs in your browser, but you can also install it so it opens from your home screen or desktop in its own window, without the browser's address bar. It takes a few seconds and uses almost no storage. There's no app-store download and nothing to update.
Android (Chrome)
- Open Zovan in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu at the top right.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen (the wording depends on your Chrome version).
- Confirm with Install.
The blue Zovan "Z" icon appears on your home screen and in the app drawer. On Samsung Internet, use the menu → Add page to → Home screen.
iPhone and iPad (Safari)
- Open Zovan in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Zovan now opens full-screen from your home screen. Downloads still save to the Files app, as they do in Safari.
Windows, Mac and Linux (Chrome or Edge)
- Open Zovan in Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
- Look for the small install icon (a monitor with a down-arrow, or a ⊕) at the right end of the address bar and click it.
- Click Install.
Zovan opens in its own window and can be pinned to the taskbar or Dock. In Edge you can also use the menu → Apps → Install this site as an app.
Why install it?
- Faster: one tap from your home screen instead of typing an address.
- Cleaner: no browser tabs or address bar, just the tool.
- Lightweight: it uses a tiny amount of storage compared with a store app.
- Private: no extra permissions — it's the same website, just with an icon.
How to remove it
Android: long-press the icon → Uninstall or Remove. iPhone: long-press the icon → Remove App → Delete from Home Screen. Desktop: open the app window, click the three dots → Uninstall.
I don't see the install option
- Make sure you're on the real Zovan address with a padlock (https) in the address bar.
- On iPhone, it must be Safari — other iOS browsers may hide the option.
- If you've installed it before, the option is replaced by "Open in app".
Does the app work offline?
The app remembers its pages, so it opens quickly even on a weak connection. Downloading still needs internet, of course — Zovan has to fetch the video from the platform. Files you've already downloaded stay on your device and play offline anywhere.
How do updates work?
Because it's a web app, you always get the latest version automatically the next time you open it. There's nothing to update in an app store, and no update pop-ups.
